A recurve men’s team of two finals. Bangladesh made up of Hakeem Ahmed, Sagar Islam and Abdur Rahman easily beat Uzbekistan by 5-1 sets in the semi-finals. In the elimination round, Bangladesh got a bye in the quarter-finals and advanced to the semi-finals.
The other final is in the recurve mixed team. Sagar Islam and Dia Siddiqui’s Bangladesh beat Uzbekistan 5-3 in the semi-final. Before this, the last eight wins were against Pakistan. In the first stage, the two teams fought in a 4-4 set. Later the archers of the two teams shot 1 arrow each. Bangladesh score 17, Pakistan 15 in the tribreak.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, lost in the semi-finals of both events. In the recurve women’s team event, Bangladesh will take on hosts Iraq in the bronze medal match on February 25. Bangladesh, composed of Dia Siddiqui, Seema Akhtar and Famida Sultana, lost to Uzbekistan in the semi-finals by 3-5 sets.
In the compound mixed team category, Bangladesh reached the semi-finals after defeating Kuwait by a score of 151-145. But in the semi-final, Bangladesh lost to India with a score of 146-157. Bangladesh will play bronze medal match against Iraq on February 24. Tapu Roy and Meghla Rani were in the Bangladesh team in this event.
